- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to describe the therapist’s role in Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy, focusing on the non-directive approach and maintaining a safe space.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to discuss 3 ethical guidelines and boundaries for maintaining safety when working with sensitive material in Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to explain how Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy supports trauma healing, particularly in the context of Phase 2 (Preparation) and resource development.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to apply the principles of EMDR Phase 3 (Assessment) in Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy to assess traumatic material and identify emotional and cognitive themes through non-verbal expression.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to demonstrate how to integrate EMDR Phase 4 (Desensitization) with Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy to help clients process and desensitize traumatic memories using miniatures and symbolic representation.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to explain how to use Sandtray Therapy in EMDR Phase 5 (Installation) to reinforce positive cognitions and emotional regulation through somatic and symbolic engagement.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to demonstrate the integration of EMDR Phase 6 (Body Scan) with Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy, supporting the client’s ability to access and process somatic sensations related to trauma.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to apply Sandtray Therapy in EMDR Phase 7 (Closure) to create a sense of safety and emotional balance after trauma processing, helping clients regulate.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to integrate Sandtray Therapy with EMDR Phase 8 (Re-evaluation) to assess progress, uncover unprocessed material, and strengthen emotional resources through symbolic exploration.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to demonstrate full integration of all 8 EMDR phases with Sandtray Therapy, ensuring fidelity to both models and optimizing the trauma healing process.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to apply the principles of EMDR Phase 1 (History Taking) in Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy to identify trauma history and key themes through symbolic representation.
- Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to demonstrate integration of EMDR Phase 2 (Preparation) with Sandtray Therapy in Play Therapy to establish safety and develop internal and external resources.
