ReWilding EMDR: Nature, Play, and Sandtray for Profound Transformation

ReWilding EMDR

1ST Generation

A Transformative 5-Day Retreat-Style Training for EMDR Therapists

Hosted at Momma Owl’s Minis | Molina, Florida

Heal Generations. Transform Lives. Reconnect to What Matters.

This isn’t just a training—it’s a MOVEMENT.

It’s time to take your EMDR work deeper. Into nature. Into the body. Into the soul.

ReWilding EMDR is a first-of-its-kind immersive retreat for EMDR-trained therapists of all specialties and populations—whether you work with children, teens, adults, couples, or families.

Led by Jackie Flynn, Alisha Denham, and Catherine Denham, this sacred 5-day experience will shift the way you do therapy—forever.

Why ReWilding EMDR?

You’ve trained hard. You believe in EMDR. But you know there’s more.

More depth. More presence. More connection.

This retreat gives you just that.

ReWilding EMDR: Rooted in Fidelity. Guided by Nature.

This EMDRIA-approved advanced training stays true to the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model and all 8 phases of EMDR therapy, while bringing the healing power of nature, play, and Sandtray into every phase of EMDR with FIDELITY to the basic.

Here’s a glimpse into what you’ll experience:

Phase 1: History Taking

Gather a rich, meaningful history while attuning to body cues, environmental context, and intergenerational threads—shaping a clinical picture rooted in relationship and rhythm.

Phase 2: Preparation

Use nature-based, nervous-system-informed practices to build safety and regulation—through rhythm, movement, symbolic play, and sensory connection.

Phase 3: Assessment

Identify targets anchored in nature’s safety, helping clients access the core of trauma they’ve carried—often before they had language to name it.

Phase 4: Desensitization

Engage natural bilateral stimulation—walking, tapping, or sound—within EMDR’s standard protocols to support adaptive shifts, guided by nature’s living example of resilience and survival.

Phase 5: Installation

Strengthen positive beliefs through body-based anchoring and nature-aligned integration—so new learning becomes embodied, grounded, and enduring.

Phase 6: Body Scan

Support somatic awareness using nature-informed tools that help clients detect and release residual tension, restoring balance in the nervous system.

Phase 7: Closure

Use ritual, rhythm, and the elements to stabilize and integrate—offering a grounded return from the work, held by nature’s containment and care.

Phase 8: Reevaluation

Return to targets with presence and clarity, using felt sense, whole-brain awareness, and nature-based insight to assess whether adaptive resolution has fully taken root.

This isn’t just a retreat—it’s a transformative training experience designed for real-world integration.

Whether you practice indoors, outdoors, or somewhere in between, ReWilding EMDR offers a full continuum of application.

You’ll leave with tools and insights that translate across settings—supporting deep, regulated healing wherever your work takes place.

This immersive training includes:

✔️ 12 hours of Sandtray Therapy training, rooted in clinical integrity and experiential learning

✔️ A full EMDR refresher, maintaining fidelity to all 8 phases and the AIP model

✔️ Nature-based applications that go beyond technique—offering a felt, lived understanding of the ReWilding approach

This is not a training you’ll walk away from unchanged.

You’ll experience what it means to ReWild your work—and yourself—in ways that expand your practice and stay with you long after the retreat ends.

Through the integration of nature-based therapy, Sandtray, play, and EMDR, you'll learn how to:

✔️ Support nervous system regulation in and beyond the therapy room

✔️ Help clients access healing through movement, symbolism, and nature

✔️ Work with generational trauma in ways that words simply can’t reach

✔️ Deepen your clinical intuition and reconnect to your why

This training is not limited to child and teen therapists—it’s designed for all EMDR clinicians who are ready to reconnect with their work in a powerful, embodied, and nature-integrated way.
