    Jackie Flynn, EdS, LMHC-S, RPT-S, RST-C/T, is a trauma-informed EMDR trainer, consultant, play therapist, and sandtray trainer specializing in the integration of EMDR therapy, play therapy, and sandtray therapy with children, adolescents, and families. She is an advanced EMDR trainer, an EMDR consultant, and an approved continuing education provider for the Association for Play Therapy. Jackie is the founder of EMDR Playground, EMDR with Kids, Play Therapy Community, and Jackie Flynn Consulting, where she provides advanced trainings, consultation, supervision, and clinical resources for therapists. Her work focuses on helping clinicians use developmentally responsive, nervous system-informed, and play-based approaches while maintaining fidelity to the EMDR model. She is known for creating experiential trainings that help therapists integrate EMDR, play therapy, sandtray, and trauma-informed care with clarity, confidence, and clinical purpose. Jackie also hosts and co-hosts professional learning events, including the Innovative Child Therapy Symposium.

NBCC Continuing Education


EMDR Therapy Basic Training (Virtual) is a live interactive program that offers 40 NBCC continuing education hours.


Jackie Flynn Consulting has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 8022. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Jackie Flynn Consulting is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.


Full attendance is required. Participants must attend the full live program, participate in required course activities, and complete the course evaluation to receive NBCC continuing education hours.


Attendance will be verified.


Partial credit is not awarded.


Participants are responsible for confirming whether this program meets the continuing education requirements of their own licensing board.



Each professional is responsible for the individual requirements as stipulated by his/her licensing agency. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) to earn CE credits.



After the event, you will receive access to your evaluation and continuing education certificate via a personalized "attendee dashboard" link, hosted on the CE-Go website. This link will be sent to the email account you used to register for the event.

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for behavioral health professionals, including licensed and pre-licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Professional Counselors (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists (LP), Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) specializing in psychiatric mental health, and graduate students in a mental health-related program who meet the eligibility criteria. Participants must be on a licensure track and working under appropriate supervision if not fully licensed.

Event Learning Objectives

  • Describe the three-pronged approach of EMDR therapy, which includes addressing past memory networks, current disturbance triggers, and future adaptive responses to facilitate holistic healing and recovery.
  • Describe the significance of each assessment component, such as image, negative cognition, positive cognition, emotions, subjective units of disturbance scale (SUD), and sensations.
  • Describe the process of executing Phase 8 - Re-evaluation in EMDR therapy, including the requisite techniques and skills necessary for assessing treatment progress and adjusting therapeutic strategies as needed.
  • Explain EMDR with Illness and Somatic Disorders, focusing on how to deepen work through the connection between cognitions and body sensations.
  • State the professional, legal, and ethical considerations pertinent to the practice of EMDR therapy, including scope of practice, adherence to professional standards, and obtaining informed consent.

Cancellation and Refund Policy


No Refund Policy

All sales are final. No refunds will be issued.

Because of the planning, staffing, and resources required for this small-group training experience, registration is a firm commitment. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Transfer of Registration

If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your registration by securing your own replacement.

All replacement participants must be approved in advance and must meet eligibility requirements.

Transfers must be completed before the training start date.


Changing Cohorts

If you need to move to a different cohort more than 3 weeks before training, your first change is free.

Additional changes more than 3 weeks before training will incur a $50 administrative fee.

If you request a cohort change less than 3 weeks before training, a $250 cohort change fee will apply.


Missed Training Costs

Missed lecture time is billed at $45 per hour. Missing more than 2 hours requires a cohort change.

Missed practicum time is billed at $45 per hour. Missing more than 1 hour requires a cohort change.

Missed consultation group time is billed at $45 per hour. Arriving more than 10 minutes late requires attendance in a makeup group.


Withdrawal

If you withdraw from the training, no refunds will be issued.

You may request a transfer to a future cohort, subject to the cohort change fees listed above.


Emergency Situations

Technical issues on the participant’s end do not qualify for a refund.

For documented emergencies, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss transfer options.


Final Acknowledgment

By registering and submitting payment, you acknowledge that all sales are final, no refunds will be issued except where required by law, and any transfer is subject to approval and stated deadlines.
